LeonaLeona Louise (born on the 3rd April in 1986) is a singer from America actor, songwriter, and actress. She was born and raised in the London Borough Of Islington she was educated at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis gained national attention when she was awarded the third season on The X Factor 2006 and received a contract worth one million pounds through Syco music. The song she was awarded, which was a cover Kelly Clarkson's song "A Moment like This" was downloaded 50,000 times in 30 minutes , and reached first place for the duration of about four weeks. In February 2007 Lewis has signed a deal for five albums in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Lewis's success continued with the album release of her debut album of her own, Spirit (2007), which was certified platinum at 10x in the UK and became the fourth best-selling album of the 2000s and one of the albums that sold the highest in UK chart the history of chart. Based on the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the highest-selling debut album of female singers to date in the 21st century. The UK's number-one single, Bleeding Love, remained at No. 1 for seven weeks before becoming the top-selling single of 2007 in the eyes of the Official charts company. The song was among the best-selling in 2008 and Lewis won her Billboard Award for Best New Artist. In 2009, she dropped her second studio album Echo, and recorded the song that served as the soundtrack, "I See You" to be used in the film Avatar. Lewis's single "Collide" has been a collaboration between Swedish DJ Avicii as well as Hurt The EP, her first extended play. The third album she released, Glassheart (2012), brought a brand new direction to her music for Lewis taking inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. During her Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began writing material to her Christmas debut album. The Christmas album, with Love was released in late 2013. The lead track One More Sleep was a top 3 hit in the UK. Lewis who is who is a British solo female artist was the first artist to make it into the top 5 with eight singles. It was a leap over Olivia Newton John's seven-year record.
